The Kids Art of Wailuku
2015 to Present.
The kids of Wailuku are making beautiful works of art! Joseph's art class assembles once a week in Wailuku for the Lahaina Arts Association. LAA provides a no cost weekly visual art classes for children and families in Maui County. Lahaina Arts Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing Maui County youth access to the creative arts through education and artistic opportunities.

Oil on Canvas / 16" x 29.5" / Wailuku Group Class Project / 1-28-16 I brought in a handmade framed canvas and drew a landscape of the Wailuku mountains. I then showed each student how to hold a pallet, mix oil paint, use walnut oil and thinner and how to clean the brush / knife after use. Each student had 15 minutes each to work on the canvas.

Puzzle Time! Ok, paint around the black lines. It's ok if it goes over. Everyone get's a piece of paper to paint. When it's all finished, no we're not going to use any black, I'll put the puzzle together and everyone will know what it is! No it's not a bunny. Nope, not a tiger. Ok, paint away.
