Looking into Hysteria - 2003
Sometimes when I'm looking into space I get lost in it. Maybe my soul,
or something looking through me, is being entertained with the world. Or
maybe it's just dead air. But I get the sense that time itself was just
laughing, and I witnessed it. I witnessed time eternal turn
everything black. I saw all moments unfold into what once was and shall
be. The end of all things and the beginning. I saw the all seeing
monotony laugh right in eternity's face! And I can't stop thinking all
that laughter must come from the illusion of humans trying to
understand their lives in a world so full of bullshit. A world of religious
fairy tales, pride and freedom, mind-controlled dingbats and
blockheads. Ding-a-lings and miniskirts used as scoreboards. Babies
growing up on Prozac and their bloodline's bad hand-me-downs. An
endless salute to one's own selfish comfort. Well God bless whatever
gave me the power to make myself laugh along at this living, breathing,
horror show. I hope it can find entertainment in the little stories I
paint. Why else would there be any use for me?
